The theoretical maximum damage output a character or player can achieve under perfect conditions — best gear, ideal cooldown timing, flawless rotation, zero movement or interruptions. Peak DPS is the number you're always chasing but rarely hit: simulation software calculates it, logs reveal how close you got, and the gap between your actual and your peak DPS is essentially a performance report. In broader use it describes anyone operating at the absolute ceiling of their capability — the best version of their output on the best possible day, everything going right, zero waste.

Peak op describes the absolute apex of something being overpowered — the moment, build, or version where power hits its theoretical maximum before any nerfs, patches, or reality checks arrive. In gaming it's the character before the developers realized how broken they were. In real life it's someone at the peak of their game before burnout, ego, or circumstance levels them. Peak op is always retrospective; you often only recognize it once it's gone, which makes it bittersweet as much as impressive.

When the gap between players is measured purely in victories — one side is just winning more and that difference becomes the whole story. W diff acknowledges that skill, strategy, and stats all matter less than the win column, and someone is simply W-pilling the entire lobby. It's a compliment as much as a callout, recognizing that whatever someone is doing, it's producing Ws at a rate that leaves everyone else in the dust.
