Definitions
An Australian common name for plants in the genus Gastrolobium (previously Brachysema), toxic leguminous shrubs native to Western Australia. The plants were a serious problem for early pastoral settlers whose livestock — especially horses and cattle — would graze them fatally; the 'box' refers to their box-like foliage shape.
