It's not malicious; it's the natural endpoint of a worldview where everywhere is home and nowhere is sacred.

An anywheres arc often begins when a person leaves a small town for university, starts curating a global identity, and slowly loses touch with the place they came from. Alternatively, the reverse arc: a cosmopolitan urbanite who eventually burns out on rootlessness and rediscovers local belonging. Online, the term is used to narrate the sociological transformation of public figures, politicians, or yourself when you look back at old values with either pride or embarrassment.
